Wildfires Highlight Lack of PPE for CO Firefighters

    Colorado officials are looking to set aside $5 million annually to help departments, primarily volunteers, purchase the proper PPE for firefighters.
    As much as 80% of firefighters in Colorado are volunteer. Departments, especially smaller or volunteer ones, often can't afford gear that can ultimately save lives.
